1. Information Collection and Use

MeloTune™ is designed with a zero data collection architecture. We do not collect, transmit, store, or process your personal information on SYM.BOT Ltd servers.

Any mood inputs (e.g., Emotion/Valence and Energy/Arousal coordinates), preferences (e.g., saved stations), and personalization signals used to improve recommendations are processed exclusively on your device. We do not run advertising cookies or third-party trackers on this website.

2. Local Data Storage

ALL user data remains stored locally on your device using iOS app sandboxing and Apple's security features (such as encrypted device storage and Keychain where appropriate). SYM.BOT Ltd does not collect, access, transmit, store, or process your personal information on external servers. Your mood data and preferences remain private and under your control.

3. No In-App Data Collection by SYM.BOT Ltd

SYM.BOT Ltd maintains a strict zero-data-collection policy. We do not collect:

• Personal data or contact information
• Mood data or emotional state information
• Music listening history or preferences on SYM.BOT Ltd servers
• Usage analytics or behavioral data
• Crash reports or diagnostic information
• Device identifiers or location data

We have no access to your data and cannot view, analyze, or process any information you enter into MeloTune™. Your privacy is protected by architectural design.

This does not include information you voluntarily send us via email support.

4. Music Service Integration

MeloTune™ integrates with Apple Music and Spotify to provide music playback functionality.

4.1 Apple Music Integration

When you grant music library access:

• Your device communicates directly with Apple's servers
• SYM.BOT Ltd does not intercept, access, or store your Apple Music data
• MeloTune does not transmit your Apple Music playback details to SYM.BOT Ltd
• Your Apple Music subscription and data are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy

4.2 Spotify Integration

When you connect your Spotify account:

• MeloTune uses Spotify's official Web API and App Remote SDK
• Authentication is handled securely through Spotify's OAuth 2.0 flow
• SYM.BOT Ltd does not store your Spotify password or credentials
• Authentication tokens required to maintain your Spotify session (e.g., access tokens and, where applicable, refresh tokens) are stored locally on your device
• Your Spotify listening history and preferences remain with Spotify
• Your Spotify account data is governed by Spotify's Privacy Policy

SYM.BOT Ltd receives no information about your music service usage, library, or listening habits from either Apple Music or Spotify. All music data remains between you and your chosen music service provider.

4.3 OpenAI Integration (Voice/Text Mood Input)

When you use voice or text mood input:

• Your input is sent directly to OpenAI's servers using your own API key
• SYM.BOT Ltd does not intercept, store, or access your voice/text input
• Your OpenAI API key is stored locally on your device
• SYM.BOT Ltd has no access to your OpenAI account or usage data
• Your data handling is governed by OpenAI's Privacy Policy

You are responsible for providing and managing your own OpenAI API key, any costs associated with OpenAI API usage, and reviewing OpenAI's terms and privacy policy.

5. Subscription and Payment Processing

MeloTune™ offers a 7-day free trial followed by a monthly subscription (price may vary by region) with full access to precision Emotion and Energy controls. Subscription payments are processed exclusively through Apple's In-App Purchase system.

• SYM.BOT Ltd does not collect, process, or store any payment information
• Apple handles all payment processing according to their privacy policy
• SYM.BOT Ltd receives limited subscription entitlement information from Apple (e.g., whether a subscription is active) to unlock premium features
• We do not receive payment card details

6. No Third-Party Data Sharing

SYM.BOT Ltd does not share, sell, rent, or disclose your data to any third parties for marketing or advertising. External communication occurs when you use streaming playback features (connecting to Apple's or Spotify's servers), when Apple provides subscription entitlement checks, or when you contact support by email. SYM.BOT Ltd does not share data with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics services.

7. Data Control and Deletion

You maintain complete control over your data. You may view, modify, or delete your mood data and preferences at any time through the app settings. To permanently delete all data, simply uninstall the application from your device. No server-side account deletion is required as SYM.BOT Ltd maintains no user accounts or server-stored data.

8. No Data Retention

SYM.BOT Ltd retains zero user data because we never collect it. There are no servers containing your data, no backups to delete, and no external storage to manage. Your data exists only on your device.

9. Data Security and Loss

While SYM.BOT Ltd implements industry-standard security practices for local data storage, you acknowledge that no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. SYM.BOT Ltd is not responsible for any data loss, corruption, unauthorized access, or security breaches occurring on your device. You are responsible for maintaining device security, backups, and operating system updates.

10. No Accounts or Registration

MeloTune™ requires no login, registration, or account creation. You can start using the app immediately without providing any personal information. This design choice ensures maximum privacy and simplicity.

11. Children's Privacy

MeloTune™ is not intended for use by individuals under 13 years of age. SYM.BOT Ltd does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided information to MeloTune™, please delete the app from their device.

12. Changes to Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date will reflect the latest revision.

13. International Data Transfers

Since all data remains on your device, SYM.BOT Ltd does not perform international data transfers. When you use music service features, data may be transmitted to Apple's or Spotify's servers, which may be located in different countries. You are responsible for understanding and accepting the data handling practices of your chosen music service provider.

14. No Warranties

SYM.BOT Ltd makes no warranties or representations regarding the privacy, security, or integrity of data stored on your device. MeloTune™ is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind. SYM.BOT Ltd disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
